Quick Note about our PNG Image Files in Some Resources
As some of you may have noticed, our last couple of resource packs have contained PNG image files instead of our usual PDF files. Here we’ll explain why we’re introducing them and how you can go about using them.
PNG is just another image format, similar to a standard JPEG. One of the main benefits of PNG files is that it allows us to create a transparent background. This will give you much more freedom when it comes to using our resources, instead of our usual PDF format.
Using PNGs allows us to provide you with the option to resize, add to digital documents, SMARTboard files, presentations, newsletters or worksheets — all without having any annoying white backgrounds.
We’ll still be offering PDF resources too, but if some packs would be more useful as individual images, then we’ll use PNGs.
