Hi. I’m a Reception Teacher and just stumbled across your lovely website! The resources are beautiful. Thank you so much for making them!

I have just one improvement that could be made to this resource… the pictures corresponding to ‘o’. ‘g’ and ‘u’ do not match the pure phonetic sound. For example, giraffe makes a ‘j’ sound rather than a ‘g’ sound as you would hear in a word like ‘goat’. Changing the pictures on these 3 letters would make this resource so much more useful for use with very young children just learning to read and write.

I hope you don’t mind me making the suggestion.

Great idea – you’re quite right! It will be updated at some point in the coming weeks :)

Hi Vikki, the letters you suggested have now been adjusted. G is goat, O is octopus and U is umbrellabird :)
