Explore the history of architecture in LEGO

The LEGO architect book shows you inspiring creations

One of the main reasons why LEGO is so popular is that there is no limit in what you can create.

They can be as simple or as complex as you like. One of our favourites is the work of Chris McVeigh of PowerPig, who sells extraordinary ready-made kits that recreate recognisable objects. He even offers his guides for free if you already have the LEGO bricks.

For an even greater source of inspiration, check out the LEGO Architect — a book by Tom Alphin that looks at various styles of architecture over the last 500 years. The book isn’t a step-by-step guide to recreating the buildings specifically, but it does offer guidance in brick selection and basic structure.
