Marble Math is a game that doesn’t just test your maths knowledge, but you’ll need nerves of steel and a steady hand to complete each level. Like the classic Labyrinth games, you control a marble by tilting the iPad (or by dragging it using your finger) in order to get it down the hole and progress to the next level. On your way, you have to collect the correct answers to a maths question that’s displayed at the top of the screen.
The app covers a lot of maths concepts that are perfect for Primary 5-7 pupils, such as Roman numeral sequencing, factoring, simplifying equations and counting money. It also allows parents or teachers to add multiple players and track their progress and scores individually.
Overall, Marble Math is a great way to learn whilst having fun. The physics and sound effects give it a sense of realism and the maths content makes the game worthwhile.
