The simplicity of Paper by 53 is what really catches the eye. It’s been wonderfully designed so that you can focus on putting your ideas onto paper digitally, without unwanted distractions.
The layout of the app mimics a notebook where you can add pages as you go, and flip through them as you would a real book. This helps removes the digital feel as your artwork becomes pages rather than individual documents with filenames.
Even though the app is free, the basic tools are very limited, and only contain a pen and eraser. Adding more tools is done via in-app purchases, which you may or may not need depending on how you’re going to use it.
If you’re going to use it for ideas, sketches, diagrams etc., then it’s certainly a great app for that. But if you’re looking for a more paint-based solution, give ArtRage a try.
