Do you need to switch?
Our Word Switch homophones pack contains almost 600 different words to help differentiate when writing. Each card can be given to students who are struggling with a particular combination of words.
The design is obviously based on the Nintendo Switch as a way for encouraging children to not only keep hold of their card but to help them remember the differences.
Due to the unique shape of a Nintendo Switch, the design has been tweaked to make it rectangular – making it super easy to cut out quickly.
To help navigate the resource we have split it into 6 separate PDFs.
- A-C
- D-J
- K-Q
- R-S
- T-Z
- Blank versions
In addition, we have provided a blank image of a Nintendo Switch so you can create your own resources, lessons or wall displays.
The definitions of each word are provided by the Cambridge and Oxford learner dictionaries. However, if you’d like to change any information you can use the editable Apple Pages document which is also included.
Apple Pages can be downloaded for free on Mac, iPad or iPhone. It can also be accessed at iCloud.com from any web browser.
The font used in our design, Fredoka One, can be downloaded for free at Google Fonts.
